Pie Design Properties

Properties specific to pies are described below. For general configuration options, see Generic Views Properties, which apply to all view types.

To access these properties, first create or open a pie view. Then, from the Toolbar panel on the right, select Chart Properties and open the Design tab.

Titles

Properties

OptionDescription
TextEnter the main title text displayed above the pie chart.
FontSelect the font family used for the title.
SizeSet the font size of the title.
StyleApply formatting to the title text, such as italic or bold.

Subtitle and detailed info

OptionDescription
TextEnter subtitle or descriptive text shown below the main title.
Show Drill-Down InfoShow or hide drill-down details beneath the subtitle.

Legend

Properties

OptionDescription
PositionSet the position of the legend: Bottom, Top, Left, or Right of the pie.
SizeSet the font size of the legend text.

Labels & ToolTips

Value

OptionDescription
FormatChoose how values are displayed: Abbreviated, Numeric, or Percentage.
Decimal PlacesSet how many decimal places to display.

Labels

OptionDescription
TypeChoose what appears on each label: Value, Label, or Label and Value.
FontSelect the font family for label text.
SizeSet the font size of label text.
PositionSet the label position: Default, Center, Inside End, or Outside End.
AlignmentChoose the alignment style: Default, Circle, or Column.
MarginsSet spacing around labels for top, bottom, left, and right.
OrientationSet the label text angle in degrees.
DistanceSet the space between the label and the slice it describes.
Auto FitAutomatically resize or hide labels as needed to prevent overlap.

Tooltips

OptionDescription
TypeChoose what appears in tooltips: Value, Label, or Label and Value.
FontSelect the font family used for tooltips.
SizeSet the font size of tooltip text.

Show Percentage of Total

Display the percentage of the total for each slice or data point in the tooltip. Set the number of decimal places to control how percentages are shown.
