Acumatica

The Acumatica template provides a ready-to-use set of views, dashboards, reports, and workbooks. Choose the installation approach that best suits your organization's environment.

Prerequisites

Before you start, ensure you have:

• Acumatica: A supported version installed.
• Destination database: A target database, preferably matching your Acumatica database collation.
• DataSync: A supported version installed.
• Installation package: The latest package downloaded from ShareFile.

Installation scenarios

Choose the path that matches your environment:

Scenario	Description	When to choose
Direct production database access	All configuration is performed in Nectari, connecting directly to your live production Acumatica database.	For a small or single-company setup needing only light, real-time reporting.
Via replicated data warehouse	Production data is replicated to a data warehouse using DataSync. The template then reads from the warehouse.	For many users or frequent/complex reporting needs, to avoid slowing the main Acumatica database.
Consolidated	Combines real-time access and DataSync replication using consolidation for central, multi-company reporting.	For organizations managing multiple Acumatica companies needing combined or group reporting.
Nectari Cloud	Data is synced to the Cloud via DataSync. The template connects to Cloud-hosted data warehouse. Credentials are provided after cloud provisioning is complete.	For distributed teams or those preferring no local server maintenance.

Installation steps

Scenario 1: Direct production database access

Perform these steps on Nectari:

1. Set up the data sources in Nectari
2. Import the template
3. Build and load the OLAP cubes

Scenario 2: Via replicated data warehouse

Use DataSync for replication, then configure Nectari:

1. Create the source connections
2. Create the destination connection
3. Upload the project into Acumatica
4. Import the synchronization extractions
5. Schedule the extractions
6. Set up the data sources in Nectari
7. Import the template
8. Build and load the OLAP cubes

Scenario 3: Consolidated

Set up DataSync for multi-company consolidation:

1. Create the source connections
2. Create the destination connection
3. Upload the project into Acumatica
4. Import the consolidation extractions
5. Schedule the extractions
6. Set up the data sources in Nectari
7. Import the template
8. Build and load the OLAP cubes

Scenario 4: Cloud

Use DataSync to send your data to the Cloud and complete setup online:

1. Create the source connections
2. Create the destination connection
3. Upload the project into Acumatica
4. Import the synchronization extractions
