Security
Nectari provides a robust security system that manages users, groups, authentication, permissions, and access control directly within the platform’s navigation interface.
You can combine domain integration, authentication providers, user and group management, data model authorizations, restrictions, roles, and environment assignments to meet your organization’s security and compliance requirements.
Example scenario
- (Optional) Domains are configured to integrate with your Active Directory, so new users can be recognized.
- Authentication is set up with SAML2 or OAuth to enable secure single sign-on to Nectari.
- Roles are created to define sets of permissions and allowed actions.
- The new user is added in the Users section and placed in the appropriate Groups.
- Data Model Authorizations grant the relevant groups (or, if required, users) access to the right data models.
- Restrictions are defined to enforce row-level or field-level security.
- Environments are configured so that users/groups only see or access the appropriate environments
