Filter Between Views

You can filter data across multiple views on a dashboard, allowing selections in one view to control the data displayed in others. This feature supports interactive analysis and simplifies filtering across related views.

When to use

  • Enabling cross-view analysis: Link filters between dashboard views to easily compare related data points or trends.
  • Quickly refining dashboards: Update all linked views instantly by applying or removing a filter with a single click.

Enable filtering between views

  1. In the Toolbar panel, select Edit Dashboard.
  2. Choose the view you want to enable it to filter other views, then click the gear icon. The Properties panel opens.
  3. In the Advanced Options tab, enable Dashboard Filtering.
  4. (Optional) Activate Enable the single selection to limit filter selection to only one value at a time.
  5. From the dropdown menu, select the views that should respond to the filter. Choose Select All to apply it to every view.
  6. Repeat these steps for other views if needed.

Filter between views

Ensure the Filters bar is visible at the bottom of your dashboard. If it's hidden, go to the Toolbar panel, select Layout, then click Filters to display it.

Add to filter

Adds an equal condition to the Filters bar. Only records matching the selected value(s) are shown in all linked views. This uses the = operator.

  1. In the dashboard, select a view.
  2. Click a value you want to filter by, and select Add to Filter. If Enable the single selection is off, you can select multiple values at once.
  3. The filter appears in the Filters bar below the dashboard. The data updates automatically.

Exclude from filter

Adds a not equal condition to the Filters bar. Records matching the selected value(s) are excluded from all linked views. This uses the <> operator.

  1. In the dashboard, select a view.
  2. Click on a value you want to exclude, and select Exclude from Filter. If Enable the single selection is off, you can select multiple values at once.
  3. The filter appears in the Filters bar below the dashboard. The data updates automatically.

Remove a filter

Using the Filters section

  1. If the Filters bar is hidden, go to the Toolbar panel, select Layout, then click Filters to display it.
  2. Find the filter you want to remove. Hover over it and click the X icon. The data refreshes automatically.

Using the Clear Filter option

  1. On a view, click the Clear Filter icon in the top-right corner. This removes all filters from the dashboard.
