Word Cloud Design Properties

Properties specific to word clouds are described below. For general configuration options, see Generic Views Properties, which apply to all view types.

To access these properties, first create or open a word cloud view. Then, from the Toolbar panel on the right, select Wordcloud Properties and open the Design tab.

Style

Font Color

OptionDescription
SeriesSelect the data series that determines word color. Each value or range can be mapped to a specific color.
MinChoose the color applied to words with the lowest values.
MaxChoose the color applied to words with the highest values.
IntervalDefine how many color steps or ranges appear between the minimum and maximum values.

Size

OptionDescription
SeriesSelect the data series used to determine word size. Word size scales based on values in this series.
MinSet the minimum word size for the lowest data values.
MaxSet the maximum word size for the highest data values.
IntervalDefine how many size steps or ranges appear between the minimum and maximum values.

Style

OptionDescription
FontSelect the font used to display words in the cloud—for example, Arial, Georgia, or Verdana.
Font WeightSet the font weight—for example, 400 for normal or 700 for bold. Higher values make the text appear thicker.

Orientation

OptionDescription
ShapeChoose the layout pattern used to arrange words—for example, Rectangle, Spiral, or Diamond.
Rotation Angle 1Set the minimum rotation angle (in degrees) applied to words.
Rotation Angle 2Set the maximum rotation angle (in degrees). Words will rotate randomly between the two angles.

Legend

Show or hide the legend for the word cloud, which helps interpret color and size scales.
