Recalculate Account Balances

In Sage XRT Advanced, account balances are normally updated automatically by a post-execution script in DataSync each time the CashFlow table extraction runs. The recalculation procedure deletes and recalculates balances for the current and previous day, using the most recent data to add missing transactions and generate updated balances. However, transactions added or modified with dates before the last refresh are not included in balances until you manually recalculate for those dates.

Benefits of recalculating account balances

  • Including back-dated transactions: Add or modify manually transactions dated before the current or previous day are reflected in account balances.
  • Correcting after initial extraction: Capture adjustments or corrections to previous days’ transactions that were missed in the last post-execution refresh.
  • Maintaining complete accuracy: Ensure account balances reflect all posted activity, including any late entries or updates that were not present during the last automated refresh.
