Duplicator

The Duplicator feature allows you to copy a formula or layout across multiple values within a dimension—such as accounts, customers, products, or time periods. It automates the creation of repeated report sections while preserving the dynamic behavior of your NecAccess formulas.

Use this tool to avoid manually duplicating formulas when generating similar report blocks. The Duplicator is ideal for preparing printable reports or dashboards where repeated sections are required for different values—all without writing the same formula more than once.

note

The worksheet must alreeady include NECAccess formulas to use the Duplicator.

When to use the Duplicator

  • Repeating layouts or formulas across dimension values: Duplicate a section for each customer, account, or other dimension item.
  • Generating uniform reports across entities: Create a consistent structure across multiple business units, periods, or categories
  • Avoiding manual copy-paste: Automate formula replication and ensure filters update correctly for each block.
  • Producing printable reports: Output repeated sections per dimension value in a layout ready for printing or export.

Use the Duplicator

  1. In the Add‑ins tab, select Duplicator.
  2. In the dialog, configure the following:
    • Select the Data Model and Environment.
    • Choose the Dimension you want to duplicate by.
