The Print feature allows you to create a formatted, printer-friendly version of the current visualization. You can preview it before printing or downloading it as a PDF. Before printing, ensure that the appropriate page setup is configured for optimal display in the printed file.
This feature is available for Views, Dashboards, Reports, and Workbooks.
When to use Print
- Creating a hard copy: Create a physical copy of the visualization for presentations, reports, or to share with someone who prefers printed documents.
- Exporting a snapshot: Save a static snapshot of your visualization to use as a printed reference or distribute as a PDF.
- Presenting and reporting: Include a visualization in a printed report or presentation package.
- Archiving visualizations: Archive a specific version in printed form for long-term reference.
- Accessing offline: Access a visualization without relying on the internet, or a device.
Print a visualization
- Locate the visualization you want to print.
- Double-click it or select Open from the context menu.
- Click the Sharing icon in the Toolbar panel on the right. It expands to show the submenu options.
- Select Print from the menu.
- For Workbooks, this opens the browser's print dialog directly.
- For all other visualizations, a preview window will appear first.
- If a preview appears, review the visualization using the preview properties to confirm it appears as expected. Click the Print icon to continue.
- Select the appropriate print properties. You can select Cancel to return and adjust formatting if needed.
- Click Print to confirm.
Preview properties
When you click the Print button from the Toolbar panel on the right for Views, Dashboards, and Reports, a preview window opens showing your visualization and offering the following properties:

| Toggle Sidebar | Displays a sidebar with thumbnail previews of each page. |
| Find in Document | Searches for specific terms within the preview. |
| Previous Page | Navigates to the previous page. |
| Next Page | Navigates to the next page. |
| Page navigation | Shows the current page number and total number of pages. You can manually enter a page number to navigate. |
| Automatic Zoom | Fits the document to the screen or adjusts it using preset zoom levels. |
| Switch to Presentation Mode | Displays the visualization in full-screen (presentation) mode. |
| Opens the print settings dialog to print the document. | |
| Download | Saves the document as a PDF file to the browser's default download folder. |

Print properties
When you click the Print button from the Toolbar panel on the right for Workbooks, or the Print icon in the preview window for Views, Reports, and Dashboards, it opens the browser's print settings, where you can customize the following properties.

| Color | Determines whether to print in color or black and white. |
| Print on both sides | Enables or disables duplex (double-sided) printing. |
| Paper Size | Specifies the paper size (e.g., Letter, A4). |
| Scale | Adjusts the scaling of the printout: "Fit to printable area" resizes content to fit the page, while "Actual size" prints at 100%. |
| Pages per sheet | Defines how many pages should be printed on a single sheet of paper. |
| Headers and footers | Includes headers and footers (such as page numbers, titles, or URLs) in the printed document. |
| Background graphics | Enables printing of background images or colors from the webpage. |
The browser's print dialog is displayed in the default language set in Windows, not the language set in the Web Server.
